Designed 4 Life is a forward-thinking and dynamic independent financial advisory (IFA) company based in Southampton. The team, consisting of six people in the office and several other subcontractors is headed up by Director and IFA Tadzio Peacock and his fellow director and business partner Paul Curtis. The company was established following the collaboration of two previous IFA firms seven years ago and now has an annual turnover of between £300,000 and £500,000.
Tadzio and Paul knew that appointing a good firm of accountants and business advisors would be vital to their future growth and success, so they turned to taylorcocks - a firm that had built a strong reputation for quality and service in the South.
Taylorcocks' first task was to offer advice and guidance to Designed 4 Life during its move to a limited company status, and then to support the business through its transition into one company. Today taylorcocks continues to advise Designed 4 Life on personal tax, corporation tax and other associated business matters. It provides compliance consultancy and, in particular, guidance about FSA compliance for the six monthly returns required by the FSA.
Tadzio says he has stayed with taylorcocks since day one, because of the firm's excellent client communication:
"It's very easy to phone and communicate with them in layman's terms. Most accountants are figure-orientated and offer little personal interaction. I like their friendly, warm approach and their ability to explain tax savings in a one to one way."
Taylorcocks' Client Relationship Manager, Rebecca Reeves, says it is an achievement for a client to stay with one accountancy company for so long:
