the rainbow centre

The Rainbow Centre helps children and adults with motor impairment learn to overcome their difficulties using a system of learning called Conductive Education. Motor impairment means difficulty with movements controlled by the central nervous system and the most common cause of this in children is cerebral palsy.

Developed over the last 50 years at the Peto Institute in Budapest, the availability of conductive education was very limited outside of Hungary until 1990.

The Rainbow Centre was established in 1990 to provide this special system of learning without the need to travel to Hungary. Since this time The Rainbow Centre has helped over 400 children from seven of the Southern Counties. (Hampshire & IOW, Dorset, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Kent).

"Until we began to deal with taylorcocks, audits had always been quite stressful experiences. The professional yet warm and friendly attitude of the individuals with whom we deal have made such a difference. We feel very much as though taylorcocks is an extension of our organisation and do not hesitate to ask for help and advice when required. It is a pleasure to deal with taylorcocks."

Helen Somerset How, Co-Founder

Taylorcocks charity specialist Alan Jordan, "It's hard to differentiate yourselves just on the audit. Where we differ from our competitors in value is at a service level. Through developing a close relationship with The Rainbow Centre, we have been able to gain a greater understanding of their needs and aspirations so that we can help and support them throughout the year, rather than just turning up on an annual basis for the audit."

It is important for charities in general to get as much value from the relationship with their accountant as possible. "We try to be as proactive as possible, so if we can identify any areas that we feel can be improved, or ideas our clients can use, then we will communicate these back so they continue to benefit from the relationship with us."

Helen Somerset How, "Taylorcocks always go that extra mile and always deliver more than we expect when we ask for advice or assistance."
