Divorce and maintenance assurance
Maintenance assurance provides cover against a former partner's ability to make regular, agreed maintenance payments for the cost of raising their child or children.
Our advisers work with separated and divorced couples who have maintenance agreements in place, as well as couples who are petitioning for divorce and have dependent children to consider.
How we work
Our advisers will consider the maintenance assurance market to find a suitable policy that provides cover against the loss of maintenance payments through death or critical illness until:
- the child reaches 16
- finishes full-time education, or
- a specified date agreed within the terms of the separation/divorce.
